Location, Location, Location!
Just steps away from the station and the fabulous Trinity shopping and leisure centre, the Marriott is an ideal location for a visit to Leeds. One of my favourite evenings out is a trip to the Everyman Cinema in the Trinity centre with its comfy seats, cheesy chips and cocktails, knowing I can be back in my room at the Marriott just 5 minutes after the film ends.
For our most recent stay we reserved a double room with executive lounge access and it was thoroughly enjoyable.
We arrived at about 6pm when the lounge was open for evening snacks and drinks (5.30-8.30pm Monday-Saturday).
We also enjoyed breakfast in the lounge and although we were told it was a continental breakfast, there were sausages, bacon, tomatoes and scrambled eggs too. Breakfast is available in the lounge from 6.30-10.30am on weekdays.
Although the executive lounge is not very large, people were not struggling to find a seat and we had the place to ourselves for most of the time we were eating breakfast. It was relaxing and the staff were friendly and efficient.
A bonus on the day we arrived was the availability of free snacks and tasters of a “Bob Marley ” cocktail in the hotel reception area. This was to promote an offer of 2 for 1 cocktails in the bar. We found out later that the West Indies cricket team were staying at the hotel and I guess it was in their honour. However, I thought it was a lovely touch and think the hotel should offer this regularly.
